Twin Quilts
The week that Graham was born, some friends of ours found out that they were going to have twin girls! I’d already made a baby quilt for their daughter and knew I wasn’t about to leave these two out. After finishing the Jewel Squares top, I needed something I could finish quickly and easily. I ended up using the tutorial that Amanda Jean made for the Moda Bake Shop for one of the quilts….
and did a simple square in a square quilt for the other.
They are almost the exact same size, which was a goal. Both are made from Tula Pink Hushaby fabric and some solids. I used a Kona solid- snow, I think- for the binding on both of them. I really like how they turned out- similar, but not identical. Now, we await the twins’ arrival!

Gorgeous! And the quilting is awesome. Did you have them quilted professionally?
I did have them professionally quilted. I’ve pretty much decided that I’ll only bother quilting things myself if it’s a doll quilt or something of similar size. The girl who did the quilting on this is my go-to quilter. She comes up with so many more cool designs than I could ever think of or be able to do on my machine. Angela, who did the quilting on these, will be joining the guild, too!
Oh wow these quilts are beautiful! Love the color combination.
These are awesome and what a great gift to have a talented quilter to be a go-to. Just awesome!
