Missing My MQG
Lookie where I was recently! No, not Ukulele Orchesta, silly. The LA Modern Quilt Guild!
Since we were in Missouri for most of December, we decided not to make our once a month trip back happen in January. That means I’ll miss our KC Modern Quilt Guild meeting. Sad. Especially because I’ll miss hearing my friend, Angela, speak.
But, fear not. I did get to sneak some Modern Quilt Guild-iness into my life in January. We got back to San Diego in time for me to hitch a ride up to LA to the LA Modern Quilt Guild on the 3rd! Alissa was super helpful, even helping me find someone to ride up with. Chris was a great travel pal! It was so much fun to see their show and tell and visit with some of the women in that guild. I thanked them profusely for starting the not-so-little Modern Quilt Guild trend. It is just more fun with the MQG in my life.
The group in LA reminded me in so many ways of our group in Kansas City- tons of laughter and an immense amount of talent! And in February, these two guilds will collide as Alissa flies to Kansas City to be our guest speaker! Can’t wait!
Isn’t it wonderful that there are people passionate about sewing all over the world! So glad you got a dose of MQG this month and had an opportunity to meet some new people. We’ll miss you next week and will look forward to seeing you in Feb.

Kelly, thanks so much for making me feel welcome! I really enjoyed talking with you. Hopefully I can get that way again. Maybe for one of your sewing days!
