World’s Coolest Library Bag

This spring, I made Eleanor three Oliver + S dresses. I’ve already posted about The Birthday Party Dress and The Ice Cream Dress, but somehow I never posted a photo of the Playdate Dress. This pattern isn’t in print anymore, but you can still find copies if your Googling ability is top notch. I really like the look of this dress- it’s made from shot cotton and I love the green color with her skin tone and hair.

These photos were taken in Westport, by my friend (and photographer) Sarah Sorell. If you are in the KC area and need family photography, you need Sorell Images! She’s amazing with kids and is such a good person. She’s creative with her sessions and we’re always blown away by the results.

Proof?

She had us meet her in Westport for Eleanor’s 2 year photos and these pictures are some fun ones I had her take with Eleanor’s amazing-awesome-fancypants custom bag from Lauren at Aunt June. Lauren printed some custom fabric early last summer and needed some samples to show in her Etsy store. She picked some of what she called “cool little kid names” and I was PUMPED that she decided Eleanor and Graham’s names were “cool names.” This bag is made by Lauren from that very fabric. Lauren’s construction techniques are wonderful- this is one sturdy bag. French seams inside. Reinforced handle. Seriously, the girl knows how to sew! (Lauren’s not paying me to say this!)

I love Eleanor. I love Sarah and her photography. I love Lauren’s fabric and having her as a friend. And I especially love it when things I love combine forces!

Oh, and the patterns? I’m waiting on the template sheet to arrive, then I’ll be able to sell, sell, sell. Hopefully on Friday! Yahoo!
