Look Up More

February 23, 2012

Have you been to Target lately? You need to!

I am a girl who loves a good trip to wander the aisles at “the red store” (as my kids call it). We live a half mile from a Super Target, door to door, and it is dangerous. Yes, I actually checked my odometer.

Today, I walked in, looked up and just stood there staring. I must have looked at this thing from every angle and made people in the produce section wonder on earth I was doing.

Then I pulled out my phone and started snapping pictures. Oh yes. I did. (the entire time thinking, “If only I had my actual camera!” Because… you know… that’s totally normal to carry around Target.)

This little standing-around-and-looking-up event reminded me of one of my favorite Improv Everywhere missions: Look Up More. If you have a minute or two, check out the video here and the accompanying mission log here. It’s a great reminder for anyone, I think.

Now, go check out your local Target and see if you can resist. Just remember that you’ll want an actual camera.

We were actually at our Target store when they were putting this up! The kids loved watching them do it, we stood there for about 10 minutes!!

Ok, that is really cool. Don’t worry I have the most random pictures from the most random places on my phone.

I saw that in the Lawrence Target earlier this week and it almost took my breath away when I walked in. It definitely made me smile. Love that you started snapping pictures!
